When Delegate Danny Marshall returns to Richmond for the 2024 Virginia General Assembly Session, he will be number 6 in seniority of 100 delegates and will represent the new 49th House District.
Danny Marshall has served in the Virginia House of Delegates representing the 14th District since 2002. He served on Danville City Council prior to his election to the House.
At the House of Delegates, Delegate Marshall currently serves on the House Agriculture, Chesapeake and Natural Resources Committee as Vice-Chair.
He serves on the Commerce and Energy Committee as well as 2 of its 4 subcommittees, chairing Committee #3.
In 2022 he was appointed to the very important House Appropriations Committee, where he serves on 4 of its 7 subcommittees and chairs one of those: Commerce, Agriculture and Natural Resources
Danny is a businessman who is past president of Marshall Concrete Inc, a company that had more than180 employees in Virginia.
Focusing on jobs, Danny serves on numerous business-related boards and commissions. He works to give our region a voice in many venues. Danny is on the Manufacturing Development Commission and The Tobacco Region Revitalization Commission, where he serves on the Executive Committee, the Southern Virginia Committee and Chairs the Incentives & Loans Committee.
Danny is Chairman of the Virginia Housing Commission. And he serves on the Board of the Southern Virginia Higher Education Center.
A family man, Danny and his wife, Kaye, have a daughter and son-in-law who have made them the proud grandparents of two fine young men.
